Tut - the oldies of today!

I carefully opened the shutters this morning, hoping to see the orangey-yellow globe in the sky surrounded by a field of blue. But alas, the only blue was from the shutters themselves and the orangey-yellow globe - a distant memory from last week.

The sky was grey! But not raining - sort of positive. We opted for a bike ride today - Pointe de Trévignon was the first port of call - a delightful little fishing village

We then rode through Pont Aven (we planned to return) to Bélon in order to visit a delightful fish restaurant called Chéz Jacky.

Unfortunately the kitchen was closed by the time we got there so they could only offer cold food. Anne and Nia had smoked salmon and I had terrine au crustacean. Nice but pricey

Back on the bikes we returned to Pont Aven. Pont Aven is a delightful small town with a river where the sea-going vessels moor. The town hosts numerous art galleries. We saw one picture that took our fancy. The artist came over as she saw out interest and her words were, "this one is original - it is cheap" it was €1800!

Now then - to the title of the post.

We stopped for a coffee and found a table. The table to our left had just been vacated by the previous occupants. An elderly couple sat at this table. On seeing the small circular tray with the previous occupant's bill and payment, the man proceeded to look at the cost, counted the money present and then astonishingly, he took off the tip and pocketed it himself!!!! I looked over to Anne and asked if what I saw actually happened!

We had parked the bikes opposite a gallery, near to the dockside. As we parked up, they drew a lot of attention and when we returned to them, they still had people admiring them. One chap had a picture of a motorbike on his chest, he clocked Anne, Nia and I and prompted to tell us of his bike collection.

By this time it had started to rain so we decided to ride back to Sainte Marine as quick as possible. We donned our waterproof tops but not the leggings. We got wet!!

We didn't get to the harbour last night thus no blog. We had spent the day dodging showers in Benodet and in the evening we went for a wander to the beach.
