The penultimate day!

We left Sainte Marine wishing that we didn't have to go home! How nice it would be to do the whole trip in reverse but spending more time at Rocamadour on the route.

But back to reality - we were heading for home.

Today we planned a gentle ride to Chateau du Kerjan near to Saint Pol Du Léon. The chateau was a nice building with a history dating back to the 1500s.

Whilst waiting for Nia, Anne and I sat in the chateau cafe in bright sunshine drinking tea and coffee - it was idyllic.

Riding into Saint Pol du Léon was interesting as the roads were shut due to a street market. The barriers had big no entry signs on but also had a small sign allowing access to the hotel we were staying in. So......... we rode the bikes up onto the pavements to avoid the barriers and on to the hotel.

The town was busy and the market was tacky - including the Peruvian pipe blowers and 'as seen on TV' stalls. Nia bought a novel in French. 

The town also boasts 2 huge churches - one of which we popped into for a nose before finding a restaurant for our last supper.

So tomorrow it's leaving the hotel at about 7.30am for the short ride to Roscoff for the Ferry.
